How does It work?
To send a mail, we have to enter the email address of the recipient, here it is [email protected] Then write the subject and its necessary information, after that we press on the button of send and the mail is sent but there are many processes behind it.
When we press on the send button of the mail, the email arrives on the SMTP server (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).
This SMTP server acts as a virtual post office. The SMTP server’s job is to check whether the recipient’s email ([email protected]) address is correct or not.
If everything goes right then the mail gets sent to DNS (Domain Name Server).DNS is like an address book and checks whether the mail is going to the recipient’s email address ([email protected]) or not.
If everything is right here then the mail goes to MTA (Message transfer agent). In this case, there will be crores of email boxes of @gmail.com, then one of the MTS finds [email protected] and sends them the email. Such a long process done within a few seconds.
